Stringboard is designed to simplify Chinese typing, even for the most complex characters. Unlike existing input methods, our keyboard has no learning curve. It provides a more intuitive and faster typing experience by leveraging your existing Chinese handwriting knowledge.

Unlike handwriting recognition, Stringboard does not require you to write out entire characters, which can be slow. Instead, simply type out the strokes as you would write them. Most characters can be found within 3-4 taps.

The Stroke input method often needs many strokes before identifying the desired character. Stringboard streamlines this process by allowing you to enter both radicals and strokes, significantly speeding up the search and selection of characters.

Our private beta is currently available on iOS only, but we are working on an Android version to be released soon!

Yes, it is 100% free to download and use the Stringboard app.

Yes, Stringboard currently supports Simplified and Traditional characters, as well as Cantonese.
